Upon pickup you start traveling to Luxor, first driving 60 KM on the coast of the Red Sea towards Safaga🚢 the next city to Hurghada , then driving 160 KM through the eastern desert of Egypt from the coast of the Red Sea towards the Nile valley , the first city you are reacting on the Valley called Qena 🕣, and Qena is 60 KM far away from Luxor , so all in all 280 KM the whole distance from Hurghada to Luxor , approximately 3 hours and half driving .
A rest stop in the middle of the way in one hour and half from the pickup time 🕖 in some coffee shop where you can take your breakfast and some coffee , 🚾 using the bathrooms as well , then continue driving to Qena for One hour Tour visit :
Dendera Temple: Dendera, the ancient Tantera, called Tentyris by the Greeks, is an extensive site with tombs dating back to the early dynastic time, it was the capital of Egypt's sixth nome. its most famous monument is the Temple of the goddess Hathor, surrounded by a great mud bricks enclosure wall, Begun under the late Ptolemaic kings ( probably Ptolemy XII ) two building phases under the Romans followed .
Then we drive one more hour on the Nile valley towards Luxor to visit :
Deir el-Medineh: At the beginning of the 18th Dynasty, by order of the king Thutmosis I , a well-guarded settlement was founded in a small depression of the mountains at Western Thebes, at a place now known as Deir el-Medineh . the craftsmen who worked on the necropolises, the Valley of the Kings, lived here with their families. They were called "servants in the place of truth" .
Lunch: will be served in one of the best local restaurants in town .
Luxor Museum: Luxor Museum opened its doors in 1976. Located on the east bank of the Nile, the exemplary presentation of its objects makes it one of the finest museum buildings in Egypt. Two floors of exhibits mainly highlight monuments from the greater theban area . On the ground floor a gallery has been reserved for the more than 20 royal statues found in the "cachette" of the Temple of Luxor.
Finally you start the journey back to Hurghada , first driving from the west bank to the east bank using Luxor bridge , from the east bank driving the same way back to the city , again a rest stop in the middle of the way in the same coffee shop you used in the morning for breakfast , from the rest stop one more hour and half driving to your hotel in Hurghada .
